Cabify Launches SOS Security Button on Android and iPhone; see how to use

Cabify has just released a security button, a new feature that promises to help the user in emergency situations during races. When touched, the SOS icon connects to the 190 and triggers the local police authorities, without the passenger having to perform all this procedure manually. The novelty comes to all nine cities of action of Cabify: Rio de Janeiro, Sao Paulo, Porto Alegre, Curitiba, Belo Horizonte, Santos, Campinas, Brasilia and Canoas.

The feature has been available since Monday (22) in both the iPhone app (iOS) and Android. The button was positioned in the upper right corner of the two systems, making it easy to locate, especially for those who use both platforms. Step 1. The procedure to request the race at Cabify remains the same. After you enter the source and destination, check the value of the route and, if you agree, press the "Order Now" button. While the app is looking for drivers or a driver has not yet accepted the trip, the security button is omitted;

Step 2. The SOS button appears as soon as the driver accepts the race, even though he is still on his way to the starting spot, and is available throughout the race. Touch it if your safety or that of the driver is at risk;

Step 3. The security button will immediately open the dialer with the police phone already typed, preventing you from having to perform this procedure in a high stress situation. Just press the corresponding "Send" button on your device and complete the connection to the 190. Use the feature responsibly, being careful not to trigger authorities unnecessarily.
