DIRF 2018: How to Download and Install the Statement Generator Program

The DIRF (Withholding Income Tax Return) is a type of Federal Income Tax return made by companies and other sources paying income. Just like the IRPF statement, DIRF has its own computer program that makes it easy to fill out information and send the data to the Internet Revenue.

Here's how to download and install DIRF 2018

Step 1. Access the DIRF 2018 page on the IRS website. The screen will show four versions of the program to install. The software is available for Windows and Linux. Before selecting the correct version, you need to know if your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit. With this information in hand, click on the appropriate download;

Step 2. The program weighs about 80 MB. Save the file in an easily accessible location, such as the desktop. Then click on the icon with the right mouse button and select "Run as administrator";

Step 3. The Windows Smart Screen filter may display a security warning. Go to "Run" to continue;

Step 4. Then, DIRF 2018 will display an alert to notify you when the installation starts. Choose "Yes" to continue;

Step 5. The DIRF 2018 installer is very simple and does not require any special configuration. Click "Next" until the end of the procedure;

Step 6. After installation, check "Create desktop shortcut" and click "Finish";

Step 7. The program will now be available for use on the desktop and you can make the Withholding Income Tax return. From there, you can now delete the installer.
