Editing videos on your mobile with the Filmr app

Filmr is a video editor for Android and iPhone (iOS) phones. The app, which is free but with some paid features, was voted the second time as one of the best apps of the year. In 2017, the tool listed the Apple list, and this year, it was Google's turn to highlight the software, which was a winner of the category "hidden treasures."

In the following tutorial, check out how to use the Filmr app to edit videos on your phone. The procedure was performed on a Galaxy J8 with Android 8 Oreo, but the tips are also valid for iPhone users.

Step 1. Download Filmr and open the app. Choose whether you want to use photos and videos from the gallery or open the camera on your phone to make a recording. After selecting the files, touch the "+" to add transition effects between the images or at the beginning and end of the video;

Step 2. If you want to add new photos and videos, tap on the "+" in the lower right corner of the screen. You can import images from your photo library or use the camera to capture something. Tap on the videos thumbnail to remove it, adjust the speed, cut, duplicate or rotate;

Step 3. To add songs, touch the second icon in the upper bar of the application. You can choose a song from the Filmr library or touch "My Music" to choose a file from your phone;

Step 4. The following tabs add text and filters to your images. In the text tool, use the options just above the keyboard to change the alignment, font and color of the writing;

Step 5. On the last tab you can choose the video format (vertical, square or horizontal). After making all the edits you want, slide the screen down to display the Share button in the upper right corner of the screen. Tap on it and choose whether you want to share content on social networks or save to your phone's photo gallery.
