It is possible to free up ports on the TP-Link router with simple steps. Branded devices allow the user to access the administration page and choose which port to unlock, or to which local IP the connection and data will go. The tip is useful for those who usually play or need to release ports for specific programs, such as torrents.

Step 1. Open an Internet browser of your choice (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or others) and access the administration interface of your router. If you do not know the address, see this other tutorial on the subject or watch the video below;

Step 2. When entering the IP of the device in the address bar of the browser and press Enter, you will be redirected to the login page of the panel. By default, user and password are the same: "admin" (without quotation marks);

Step 3. Go to the "Forwarding" section and then click on the name "Virtual Server";

Step 4. Now click the include button. It is labeled "Add New";

Step 5. In "Service Port" (1), you must enter the port that you intend to unlock and, in the field "IP Address" (2), the IP of the computer that will receive the redirect. Leave the "Internal Port" section (3) blank and click "Save" (4) to record changes to the router's system;
