How to put music in Instagram Stories

Instagram lets you add songs to photos and videos in Stories. The feature, which was released this week, works as a sticker. When added, you can choose the sound in a library of your own social network - you can not use files from your phone. There is also the option to choose a song as background sound for videos in Stories.

Adding music to photos

Step 1. Open the Instagram Stories camera and take a photo, or choose an image from your library to post. Then touch the stickers button and add the item "Music";

Step 2. Now, choose the song you want to insert in the post. You can browse between popular songs, styles and genres or use the search bar. Touch the play button on the right to hear it. After adding a song, you must slide the white rectangle to select the desired passage;

Step 3. You can use a stretch of up to 15 seconds of the song, which is the limit duration of a Stories post. To select the part of the song, touch the current tempo, just below the white rectangle, select the desired duration and touch "Finish";

Step 4. After making the desired settings, touch "Finish" again, this time in the upper right corner of the screen. The name of the song, CD cover and artist or band will appear on a sticker. Tap on it to change the style;

Step 5. Finally, you can tap "Your story" to add the photo directly to your story, or "Next" to send it to specific friends by Instagram Direct.

Step 1. In the Instagram Stories camera, slide the bottom bar until you reach the "Music" option, to the left of "Live". Then choose the song you want to use. You can browse between popular songs, styles and genres or use the search. Tap the play button to hear it;
