How to recharge Itaú cell phone credits

Itaú customers can recharge on prepaid phones via the internet through the Itaú Mobile website and application for Android and iPhone (iOS). The institution allows to recharge several values via debit into account, thus dispensing the displacement to a physical point. This saves the user time and can buy credits online - including via Wi-Fi connection, in the absence of the 3G or 4G package.

Learn in the following lines how to recharge your cell phone through Itaú using the app and the website on your computer. The procedure was performed on a Galaxy S8 running Android 8 Oreo, but is similar in other models and systems.

Step by step on mobile

Step 1. Download the Itaú application on your smartphone and enter your agency and account information. On the next screen, enter your 6-digit internet password - the combination is not necessarily the same as that used for card purchases.

Step 2. If you do not already have an electronic password, the application will redirect you to a registration form. Record the new password, confirm the operation using your card password, and go to an ATM at the bank to validate the registration and start using the app.

Step 3. When accessing the application, touch the "Transactions" option and select "Reload celular".

Step 4. If you already have registered mobile numbers, select one of the items from the list to move forward. Otherwise, tap "New number" and fill out the number and carrier form. Itaú offers refills for Claro, Claro Claro, Nextel, Oi, Porto Conecta (from Porto Seguro), TIM and Vivo clients.

Step 5. When selecting a number, use the bar to choose the amount to be reloaded. The available values change according to the operator. Finally, tap "Continue" and end by typing your password on the card. According to Itaú, recharge takes up to 24 hours.

Step 1. Access the Itaú website ( itau.com.br ) in the desktop browser and enter your agency and account information in the top right fields.

Step 2. On the next screen, confirm your name and enter your internet password to access. If you do not already have a registered electronic password, the site will indicate a step by step to register the code. You will need to go to an ATM at the bank to validate the operation.

Step 3. When accessing the portal, click on the main menu and select "Cell phone recharge".

Step 4. Choose one of the numbers you have already registered, if any, or add a new one.

Step 5. When adding a new number, you first have to choose the carrier between Claro, Claro Claro, Nextel, Oi, Porto Conecta, Tim and Vivo options. Then choose the status (DDD) and tap "Continue".

Step 6. Enter the number with DDD twice, select the recharge value and enter your card password to validate the transaction. Credit, according to Itaú, is accounted in the line within 24 hours.
