How to Use the New Windows Window Filter in Instagram Stories

Instagram Stories has a new filter called Desktop96 that simulates windows from older editions of Windows. The filter was created by social network product designer George Kedenburg III (@ gk3) and brings nostalgic elements from previous versions of the Microsoft system and some classic applications such as Winamp and Paint. There are several options for viewing and, according to the creator, eventually the filter "may become unstable and stall" - referring to the famous blue screen of death.

In the following tutorial, check out how to enable and use the Windows Window Filter in Instagram Stories. The procedure was performed on an iPhone 8 with iOS 12, but the tips are also valid for users of Android devices. You need to have the latest version of the app installed on your phone - learn how to update your apps.
