How to use your voice in Waze for iPhone
The Waze for iPhone (iOS) app has recently been updated to allow the user to record their own voice for use in navigation instructions - on commands like "go ahead", "turn right" or "turn left" besides general indications. The feature had been available since May, but was exclusive to the version of the application for the Android system, Google.

Step 1. Access the Waze settings. To do this, slide the screen from the left edge toward the center of the screen. In the app menu, touch the gear icon in the upper left corner.

Step 2. On the settings screen, touch "Voice instructions" and then "Record new voice".

Step 3. Tap "I understand" to confirm the security alert and, if necessary, "OK" to allow Waze to access your iPhone's microphone.

Step 4. If you want to name your recordings, touch "Naming Your Voice" and enter the desired name. In the future, this will help in the identification of recordings.

Step 5. To record the messages, just touch the button with the red circle and speak the phrase in bold. Note that there is a maximum time for each recording.

Step 6. When you finish recording, you can check the result by tapping the play button. If you want, you can record the phrase again. Once you're done, tap Save.

Step 7. Repeat the procedure for all sentences in the list. If you skip or forget something, Waze's default voice will be used. When done, touch "Save" in the upper right corner of the screen.
