Viewing deleted messages in WhatsApp is possible with Notification History, a free Android application that allows you to read deleted content to everyone on the messenger. The program, which records and maintains a history of notifications from other apps, shows text messages and audios deleted by the sender in the application. Photos and videos, however, can not be recovered. In addition, the app only works if your contacts and group notifications are not muted.

Step 1. Install the Notification History app on your phone. When you open it for the first time, you will need to grant access to your files. If you agree to this, click "Allow." Then tap "OK" to close the changelog.

Step 2. A message will tell you that you need to enable access to Android notifications for the app to work. Touch "OK" to open Android settings. From there, enable the option to the right of "Notification History" and confirm by tapping "Allow";
