The Instagram released on Thursday (20) the use of GIFs within the Direct Messages. Animations can be found by touching the "GIF" button located on the message bar. The animated figures appear on a carousel and the user can send the most famous items of the moment or search using keywords or phrases. According to the company, the update is available from today on the application for iPhone (iOS) and Android.

The user can also send a "surprise" GIF to the friend within Direct. To do this, simply search for a specific theme and choose the option of reporting. The app will send an animation related to that searched subject, but the user will not see your content before. The animation platform used in the DMs is Giphy, the same one used in Stories posts.
