Instagram shows who's online; know how to avoid

Instagram now displays a green indicator next to the profile photo of friends who are online right now. The feature appears in various places in the app, such as in the private conversations list and when sending posts or stories by direct. The social network justifies the change saying that it is more fun to talk with friends when we know they will be there to see what we send. The goal, according to the app, is to stimulate the conversations in real time.
