Instagram now lets you use Stories filters in gallery images, not just in-time photos and videos. The new feature is useful for anyone who has an old photo saved on the phone and would like to post on the social network. You can use any of the effects available on the platform, including face filters. The only prerequisite is that your face is well framed and focused. Otherwise, the application can not identify the objects in the photo and the filter will not be applied correctly.
In the following tutorial, see how to apply filters to gallery photos and post to Instagram Stories. The procedure was performed on an iPhone 8 with iOS 12, but the tips are also valid for users of Android devices.
