Learn to use tool that evaluates PC for Final Fantasy XV

Final Fantasy XV will be available for download on PCs (via Steam) on March 6, ending a wait of more than a year for fans of the series who have the computer as a gaming platform. Originally released in 2016, the open-world RPG features one of the most beautiful looks in the entire franchise, a potential that of course will be even more present in the new release.

To allow players to get ready for launch and, above all, find out how the game will run on their machines, Square Enix has released a free benchmark tool for Final Fantasy XV. Through it, a small non-playable sample of the title runs on the PC, so that the user can find the best possible combination for their machine.

Benchmark

Different options can be configured in the Final Fantasy XV benchmark

The initial screen of the test released by Square Enix displays all the options that allow you to find the best possible configuration of Final Fantasy XV on each PC. Here, for example, you can select the resolution as well as the graphics quality, as well as whether the game will run in a Windowed Mode or Fullscreen Mode.

The "Lite" setting is the most basic, with low-resolution shadows and reflections, and less detailed textures. Already "Standard" is the default, which performs the test according to the recommended settings for running Final Fantasy XV. Finally, the "High" option will display the game's maximum visual visual potential, and features advanced effects processing, hair and other details that are only available on NVIDIA video cards.

Score indicates compatibility index with the requirements of Final Fantasy XV

To start the test, just click on "Start" and scenes of the game will run for six minutes. Over this time, a score will start to increase in the left corner of the screen, indicating the level of compatibility of your PC with the settings chosen on the home screen. The higher the index, the better your computer will behave with the game.

It is not possible to play Final Fantasy XV during the test. To exit before the end of the benchmark, simply press the Esc key, while the Alt + Enter combination toggles between full screen and windowed options.

At the end of the tests, a general score will be displayed. It indicates the compatibility of your computer with the settings you have chosen. The numbers can be understood as follows:
