The map colors define the difficulty
The PixARK map colors show the difficulty level of each region. Start with the green areas (Novice Grassland, Grassland and Mountain Forest), which are beginner with more peaceful creatures.

The map is divided into three difficulty levels, illustrated by skull icons, as shown in the image above. Initially, it will not be fully open and you will only be able to see the regions you've explored. One tip is to start a new game in creative mode, save and then reopen in single player mode. So you will see the whole map.
Scan with the Scanner
The scanner is a very useful tool in PixARK. Hold the right mouse button to activate it. By pointing the scanner at a creature, you can see important details of the animal, such as its strength, behavior, level, and endurance to be tamed.
The same goes for the resources of each region. Use the scanner on rocks or foliage to find out what tools to use and what materials you can extract in that area.

Use animal skills
The animals and dinosaurs are domesticable and have unique abilities. To tame one with no problem, go to level 16 to unlock the bow and the sleepy arrows.
Do not forget to equip the special arrows on the bow before attacking. Look at the creature in first person mode as it is much easier to hit.

After that, press "E" on the keyboard to open the animal's inventory. Put a quantity of your favorite food (fresh meat, fruit, herbs, etc.) and wait a few minutes. If the beast is close to waking up, shoot another tranquilizer dart to keep it on the ground.

Take everything you find
Everything that is within your reach yields experience, especially at the initial levels. You can pick up level 10 quickly by just picking up materials from the ground, picking up wood or food to survive. In addition to level up, the character will be stocking essential items, which will be used as soon as you unlock new Engrams .

Whether with the map open or closed, using bookmarks can help you during the exploration. Press "P" in first person mode to activate dialing. Enter a name and the location coordinate - just open your map to check the numbering.

Beware of the ruins
If you find a ruin full of skeletons, run as fast as you can - at least in the first 30 levels of the character. Each map has one of these, a kind of dungeon, with an advanced difficulty level and very strong creatures. Before you have the equipment you need to tackle this place, keep your distance.

Build a house (and a bed)
When you die in PixARK, you lose your inventory items and must return in a random location - relatively close to where you died. Therefore, build a house to protect yourself from any hazards and place a bed in it. It will allow you to return home or the place of the object whenever you die.
Another tip is to place beds in strategic locations, to function as a teleport.

Not every clothing will protect you.
The character unlocks new Engrams as you level up. This means that you will have access to new and better equipment at more advanced levels. However, not every clothing will protect you from any climatic effect, regardless of level. Before fabricating a wardrobe, check out the attributes of each wardrobe in the inventory.
