Snapseed App Enhances Portraits on Mobile; learn how to use

Snapseed has a function to enhance portraits saved in the phone library. Available for iPhone (iOS) and Android smartphones, this free tool gathers in the Picture Tools feature to highlight, soften and blur backgrounds in photographs. Editing options are ideal for improving selfies and photos with small lighting problems. Such features are typically found in paid apps or advanced PC-based editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Affinity Photo.

Step 1. Open the application and touch the "+" icon in the middle of the screen. Then select the picture you want to enhance.

Step 2. You can use one of the application filters. Then touch "Tools" and choose "Portrait".

Step 3. Use one of the highlight patterns and touch the face icon at the bottom of the screen. Then define how you want your face to look in the picture. You can define pale to dark tones. Then press the icon next to it that represents editing parameters.

Step 4. Choose one of the parameters and slide the blue slider bar to the right or left at the top of the screen. At this point, it is possible to highlight your face, soften the skin and increase the clarity of the eyes. To return to the parameter selection, touch the setting name at the top of the screen. When you're satisfied, tap the rectangular icon at the bottom of the screen.

Step 5. Save your edits by tapping the visa icon in the lower-right corner of the screen. Then touch "Tools" again.

Step 6. Select the "Focus Effect" option. At that point, use your fingers with tweezers to zoom in or out on the area around your face. At the top of the screen, swipe left or right to increase or decrease the intensity of the effect. To finish editing, tap the visa icon in the lower-right corner of the screen.
