Turning on dark mode on Google Maps for Android and iPhone

Google Maps offers a dark mode that is automatically turned on when you use the app overnight. The feature available for Android and iPhone (iOS) phones can also be activated at any time, manually. To do this, simply change the settings of the GPS navigation. The function developed by Google is ideal for rainy days and dark environments, and allows a more comfortable viewing for the eyes.

Step 1. After starting a GPS navigation in Google Maps, click on the time bar and slide up. Then go to "Settings";

Step 2. Slide the screen to the "Map Display" item and in the "Color Scheme" section, select "Night". Finally touch the back button in the upper left corner to return to the map in the dark mode.
