iOS 11.1 wins dozens of emojis and back with shortcut to multitasking

Apple unveiled the first major update for iOS 11 this week. Unlike earlier versions that focused on security fixes and bugs, this is the first time new features have been added. The big difference is due to the return of the shortcut to access the multitasking on devices with 3D Touch, in addition to 70 new emojis. The update is available for free for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users.

It is worth remembering that the ability to switch between open apps by pressing the left edge of the phone was originally released with the iPhone 6S on iOS 9. The functionality had been removed from iOS 11 due to a technical incompatibility. Apple then vowed to relaunch the shortcut in a future update. The company also took the opportunity to correct the bug that gave undue access to user photos.
