Updating Google Chrome on your phone

Keeping the Chrome app always up-to-date is important to get new features and functionality, as well as ensuring that bugs and security holes are fixed in the browser. On iPhone (iOS) and Android phones, apps are updated automatically by default, but the user can manually check and update the app.

Tutorial teaches you to update the Chrome app on your phone

On android

Step 1. Open the Play Store and touch the menu button located in the upper left corner of the screen.

Open the Google Play Store app

Step 2. From the application menu, open "My apps and games". Android will search for updates and show which apps have new versions available. To update them, just touch "Update" to the right of the application name, or "Update all".

Updating mobile apps

On iPhone (iOS)

Step 1. Open the App Store app and tap "Updates" in the lower right corner of the screen.

Step 2. Slide the screen to download or to search for app updates. If updates are available, they will be displayed at the top of the screen. To update the apps, just touch "Update" to the right of the app name, or "Update All" in the upper right corner of the screen.
