As in the first game, this category is aimed at those who are looking for an agile character, focused on avoidance and mobility. Because of this, Hunter-class guardians do best with light armor, which allows for faster movement.

Destiny 2: How to play with the Hunter class

Voltaic Acrobat

At the beginning of the adventure, the Hunter has only the Acrobat Voltaic subclass available. That is, the acquired points can only be used in the skills tree of the specialty in question. A good tip is not to spend all of your punctuation at once on the Voltaic Acrobat, since the Pistoler subclass is active from the middle of the campaign when you find Hunter's Relics in random chests.

Hunter's specifics make the character elusive. With the passive Dodge Sniper ability, for example, the guardian can perform an evasive maneuver that reloads the weapon automatically. In addition to it, there is also the Dangerous Dribble, which allows you to perform acrobatics to divert and escape critical moments and thus, recharge the melee attack.

The Voltaic Acrobat has three modes of movement: the High Jump, which guarantees a second jump; the Lateral Heel, whose second jump directional control is improved and the Triple Jump. Following the pattern of the first game, it is allowed to equip only one mode of movement at a time.

The grenade kit also offers three types of explosives:

  • Granada Conductor, responsible for chaining lightning bolts on multiple enemies at once - ideal for assaults and public events;
  • Granada Volatile, able to create projectiles;
  • Grenade of Flow that, when hitting an enemy, gets stuck in your body and causes additional damage.

Keeping the tradition, the super-ability of the Voltaic Acrobat continues to be the Bow Rod which, as its name says, causes bow damage. By activating special power, the prospect shifts to the third person and the Hunter uses his loaded cane to deliver quick blows to dozens of opponents.

In addition to the conventional skills, the Acrobat can opt for two practices: that of Warrior, turned to dodge, and that of Wind, destined to hand-to-hand combat. Both are like minor adjustments in the active abilities of the hero, therefore they modify considerably the dynamics of certain specials.

Gunman

Like the Acrobat, the Pistol Hunter has the same class specialties (dodge and mobility). What changes, in fact, are the grenade kits, the super-ability and the two types of practice.

The Gunslinger's grenade kit features the following:

  • Granada Mine, which sticks to surfaces and detonates when enemies pass through the laser trigger;
  • Granada Incendiary, which sets fire to hordes of creatures at once;
  • Granada Swarm, which releases small drones to advance on nearby enemies.

The big difference of the Gunslinger subclass is its super-ability. Considered by the fans as one of the most powerful of the game, the special allows you to summon a flaming three-shot pistol that disintegrates opponents with a single bullet and causes solar damage. Including, the attack is also very useful to make good scores in the multiplayer modes of the Crucible.

Destiny 2: Underworld of Gunslinger counts on one of the most powerful abilities of the game

There are two different practices of the class: Outlaw and Shooter. Outlaw enhances the Hunter's abilities in general, while Sniper practice grants additional bonuses in runs with absolute accuracy.

Night Predator

The Hunter subclass introduced into the expansion "The King of Possessed", by Destiny 1, is also present. She is the last to be unlocked through Hunter's Relics and generates the Broken Arrow mission, which consists of participating in basic tasks such as fighting in Heroic Events alongside other users. The characteristics of this category, however, were retained as in the original game.

Destiny 2: Two additional abilities to be unlocked in each subclass

The biggest differential of the Nightclub subclass compared to the two other subclasses is its ability to support the squadron. That's because the super-ability casts a grim arrow on enemies, slowing them down in a potent vacuum energy stream. Temporary immobilization is able to help a lot in more demanding events such as Dusk and Incursions.
