The Snapchat app for iPhone (iOS) and Android has gained new filters that change the sky. The novelty came with version 10.18 and uses augmented reality technology. The boundaries of the area that is going to undergo transformation are detected in the auto-image, and then the app changes the background. Unlike 3D lenses, the feature works by means of a filter.

When you take a photo, only one sky filter option is available among other alternatives - like the ones that show the time or city in which the person is currently. However, in testing, it was possible to use more than one type of sky on the same day just by taking new photos. Here's how to use the platform feature.

Step 1. Open the Snapchat and take a picture of a landscape so that the sky is highlighted. Then simply slide the screen to the left. If the filter does not work, try taking new photos;

Step 2. You can also add text, stickers and drawings freehand. Finally, just touch the blue icon in the lower right corner of the screen and choose who you want to send the photo to.
