Signing in to sites with your Telegram account

Telegram has won an update that allows you to register on third-party sites using the messenger account. The novelty works as the social login of Google or Facebook, but using the phone number and user profile registered on the rival WhatsApp servers. In addition to streamlining registration in online services, the function allows you to control the active sessions and, if necessary, revoke the access of pages logged in by the mobile phone. Step 1. When you see the Telegram login button on web sites, tap to open a login window and enter your registered phone number into the messenger. Touch "Next" to move forward.

Step 2. In the Telegram app, installed on your phone, you will receive a message informing you about the login using your account. Touch "Confirm". On the site you want to log in, you will see the "Accept" option enabled. Tap on it to grant access.

Step 3. The page will display a pop-up warning of login confirmation. At this point, the Telegram login icon on the site will already display your photo on the side, indicating the use of the messenger account.

Step 4. To control the sites that use your Telegram account, go to the side menu of the app and go to the "Settings". Then touch "Privacy & Security".

Step 5. Access the "Logged in with the Telegram" menu to see the list of sites using your messenger account at the moment. The app indicates the IP, browser, and operating system of the connected machine.

Step 6. To revoke access and log off the site with your Telegram account, tap the item you want and then click "Ok." If you no longer wish to use the Telegram login, simply check the "TelegramBot Lock" box.
