The feature is useful in case of simple problems with the car, such as flat tire, exhausted battery or lack of fuel. Your distress request is displayed on the map and nearby drivers can view and find you easily to help.

Nine Useful Waze Features That Can Make Your Life Easier

Step 1. Open Waze and, if your position is not centered on the map, touch the button located in the lower left corner of the screen. Then click on the orange icon on the right.

Step 2. Click on "Roadside help" and then tap "Comment" to add a brief account of what is happening.

Step 3. Write the problem you are experiencing and tap on the button located in the upper right corner of the screen. If you want, click on the camera icon to add a photo of your car. This will make it easier for other drivers to find you.

Step 4. Tap the icon on the left to send your location to a friend. You can also click on "Request" to ask for help from nearby drivers.

Step 5. Your distress request will be displayed on the map. It is represented by a life buoy and indicates your current position. If someone has arrived to help you or you have been able to solve the problem yourself, touch the float icon on the left side of the screen and select "Cancel request" to end the help request.
