How to mute Stories from a friend on Facebook by cell phone or PC

Facebook Stories allows you to publish photos and videos that will be deleted automatically after 24 hours of viewing. However, if you do not want to view the stories of an unwanted contact, you can mute it. The friend will not be notified and will not know about this action. The user will not appear in the Stories list, but the friendship link will be kept on Facebook, so your feed posts will continue to appear to you. How to use Facebook Stories on your computer

On the computer:

Step 1. Open the Stories published by the contact.

Open Facebook Stories and click the contact you want to mute

Step 2. Click the three-dot icon located in the upper right corner of the Stories. Then select the "Silence the user" option.

Step 3. Confirm by clicking the "Mute" button.

Step 1. Press the history icon of the chosen contact. A menu will then appear. Click the "Silence" user option.
