Evernote: How to use password to protect annotations on mobile

The Evernote mobile app lets you add a lock password. That way, when you open the app, a numeric PIN will be requested. On smartphones with a biometric reader, it is possible to unlock using fingerprint. The feature is useful for protecting your curious notes or adding an extra layer of security.

Android step by step

Step 1. Touch the button in the upper left corner to open the Evernote menu (there are three dashes). Then click on your profile photo, just above your username.

Step 2. On your account information screen, touch "Set password lock". Now just enter and confirm the access password.

Step 3. Returning to the settings, you can enable unlocking with the mobile fingerprint reader and set a time-out so that your notes are blocked.

Step by step on iPhone (iOS)

Step 1. Tap "Account" in the lower right corner of the screen, and go to "Settings". Then tap "Password Lock".
