Gmail: how to send emails in confidential mode by mobile

The Gmail mobile app now allows you to send messages in a confidential way. The function, which was only available on the computer, ensures greater security and privacy for content sent by email. The feature allows you to set a protection password to view the message and automatically destroy it after the selected time period.

Step 1. Touch the pencil button in the lower right corner of the screen to create a new message. After typing it, touch the "..." button in the upper right corner and choose "Confidential Mode".

Step 2. By default, the message remains available for a week. You can change this time by tapping on the option. Choose the desired option and touch "Finish".

Step 3. Now set up the message unlock password. Authentication can be performed by email or SMS, on the mobile phone. Select the desired option and touch "Finish".

Step 4. After making the necessary adjustments, touch the button in the upper right corner of the screen to confirm the confidential mode. A summary of the settings will be displayed at the end of the email - you can change them by tapping "Edit". If everything is as you want, just send the message normally.

Step 5. If you have selected the SMS authentication mode, you must enter the sender's phone number. To do so, touch "Add information". Finally, enter the phone and touch the button in the upper right corner of the screen to save and send the text message.
