How to register in OLX

The OLX classifieds platform requires a simple registration to create a profile and start advertising and chatting. The procedure can be performed by PC or in the app for Android and iPhone (iOS). The registration asks for name, email, password, plus address and a nickname to use in ads - you can hide the full name if you prefer. Recently, it has also become mandatory to enter the phone number to have access to all the features of the tool. Here's how to register for the mobile or computer service in the tutorials below.

Step 1. Download and install the OLX app on your smartphone and go to the "My account" menu. Choose between two forms of registration: via Facebook or with email and password;

Step 2. When selecting the option with e-mail and password, fill in the information, tap the auto-checker and continue with "Register". Then log into the newly created account to complete the profile;

Step 3. Tap "Edit" to open the incomplete profile. First, choose whether you want a private or professional profile. The first is recommended for occasional sellers, and the second for those who want to market regularly on the platform;

Step 4. In the "Phone" field, tap "Edit" and enter a mobile number to receive the verification code. You can also enter a landline and receive a password link. The identifier must be typed in the application to validate the information;

Step 5. Finally, use the field in the footer to enter your zip code. The locale registered in the app will be used to display the ads you've created. You can change this information later. To confirm your profile changes, touch "Update account."

Step 1. Access OLX on the web (www.olx.com.br) and click on "My account" to open the registration form in the service. Start with filling in email and password;

Step 2. Just like on the cell phone, you can also use Facebook data to speed up the registration. Otherwise, complete the form and click on "Create account";
