Sending audio to Instagram Direct is a simple task. The social network has released to all users the sending of voice messages by Direct. Launched this Monday (10), the feature lets you record audios through a new microphone icon in your app's conversations. As with WhatsApp and Telegram messengers, users can use gestures on the screen to stop recording and delete unwanted messages. The novelty can be used by iPhone users and Android smartphones.

Step 1. Open Instagram and touch the arrow icon in the upper right corner of the screen. Then open one of the conversations or tap the "+" icon in the upper right corner of the screen;

Step 2. Select the friend you want to chat to and click the "Next" button. Then tap and tap your finger on the microphone icon at the bottom of the screen;

Step 3. While your finger is pressing the icon the recording will be active. You can drag the padlock icon to the center of the screen to lock the recording and release your finger from the screen. While still holding your finger, drag it to the left of the screen to the trash icon to delete the recording. In the example below, note that the recording was stopped - the message continues to be captured until you delete the clip or tap the arrow button to send it to your contact;
