How to Use the Travel Planner

TripAdvisor is an essential service to find recommendations for restaurants, sights and other places to meet on a trip - and it gets even better when everything is organized in an itinerary. The Android and iPhone (iOS) app has the Travel tool, which allows you to set visit dates to the locations found on the platform, creating a roadmap to consult at any time.

The feature makes it possible to add fellow travelers, who collaborate in the making of the script. Learn, in the following lines, how to master TripAdvisor to get the best of your next destination.

Step 1. Open the TripAdvisor on your cell phone and go to the "Trips" option below. Tap the plus sign to create a new route.

Step 2. Enter the name of the trip (which can be the name of the city) and set the arrival and return dates.

Step 3. You can add locations via the "Upload" button or by accessing the app's home screen.

Step 4. When you open the details screen of a restaurant, tourist spot or other place of interest, touch the heart icon at the top of the screen to add the item to your favorites. Then select your trip from the list.

Step 5. Back to the "Trips" tab, open the roadmap to see all the places added. In each item, you can set a visit date and enter a comment.

Step 6. Choose the day of the trip destined for the place marked as a favorite. In the comments feature, add important information to share with friends later.

Step 7. Access the item's menu in the tour (from the icon with three beads) to change the date of visit or transfer to another trip. At the end, touch the "Map" button to see a summary of the locations per day.

Step 8. From the top menu, tap Invite Friends and choose one of the options to send a collaboration link to anyone who will be traveling with you. Added people will be able to add new places, comments and change dates of visits.
