Instagram Direct shows you when you're online; learn to disable

Instagram shows whether you're online in Direct - the application's inbox - and the time you last accessed the messages, in a feature very similar to WhatsApp. The function is called Activity Status and is displayed when accessing the list of direct messages, showing whether the contacts are active (online) at that moment or when the last one was accessed, with data in minutes or hours. The information is displayed just below the username. You can also see how many people in each group went online during the day.

As with WhatsApp, many people may be interested in hiding the time they were online on Instagram. If you do not want your contacts to see this information, learn in this tutorial how to disable the feature. Keep in mind that by hiding your schedule, you'll also no longer see your Friends Activity Status.

From now on no one will know the time you were online at Instagram Direct. After deactivating, the direct message list will return the last message of each conversation below the contacts, as it happened before.
